But centuries before computer algorithms, ancient Eastern astronomers and metaphysicians formulated BaZi (The Four Pillars of Destiny, 八字) and Ziwei Doushu (Purple Star Astrology, 紫微斗数)—deterministic, time-anchored frameworks predicting life tendencies based on planetary alignments and solar coordinates.
