I'm Talha, a solo developer. I build small native Windows apps in Rust, and the first one I want to share is FilesPro, a fast, keyboard-first file manager for Windows 10 and 11.

Why another file manager?

Windows Explorer is fine for casual use, but I wanted two panes, tabs, instant search and a proper operation queue, without an account, ads or telemetry. So I built it in Rust, using native Windows tooling.

What it does

  • Two panes and tabs for moving files between folders quickly
  • Instant search across files and folders
  • Operation queue you can pause, resume and undo
  • Built-in viewer for code, PDFs, documents, pictures and video, in its own tab
  • Terminals side by side with the file panes
  • Batch rename, folder compare and folder sync
  • Disk usage view that shows what fills your disk, plus duplicate finder and file tagging
  • Quick Look: press Space to preview a file
  • 28 colour themes and 29 backdrops

It has no account, no ads and no telemetry.

Try it

FilesPro is free on the Microsoft Store: Get FilesPro. There is more on the official FilesPro page, and I wrote a few Windows how-to guides too: batch rename files, compare two folders and keyboard shortcuts.

FilesPro is made by TalhaTechs, who also build Noyare, a system monitor for Windows.

Feedback welcome

I'd really like to hear what you'd want from a file manager: missing features, performance problems or UX annoyances. Leave a comment below.
