Keeping one character consistent while changing the pose usually means a round trip through Blender or Poser. VNCCS Pose Studio puts the mannequin, the pose and the lighting inside ComfyUI, and the 2511 editing model takes three images from it - the pose render, your source image, and the detected skeleton. The author reports the pose control is very precise, and shows that the node also pushes a lighting prompt unless you switch that off.
Evidence note: parameters below were parsed from the workflow JSON shipped with this episode (1 file); anything the video reports about results is attributed to the author.
When this is useful
- You need one character in a new pose without losing the face or costume.
- You want to light the character without leaving ComfyUI.
- You batch several poses from the same source image.
How the three-image encoding works
Three images into one text-encode node
The graph feeds three images into the Qwen-Image-Edit-Plus text-encode node: the pose render from Pose Studio, the source image you loaded, and the skeleton image the node detects from your target pose.
The node is not only a pose editor - it combines mannequin building, posing and lighting - which is why no external software is needed.
The author hand-built this graph because the RunningHub side had not yet picked up the project's example workflow; the project is open source and the example graphs ship with it.
The controls you actually touch
Body: gender, age, weight, muscle, height, head size - the author's description is simply "you are building a person here".
Rotation: chest size plus XYZ sliders that rotate the whole character rather than one bone.
Camera: the output width and height, the zoom and the orientation radar; the author recommends keeping the same aspect ratio as the source image, and reset re-centres the camera on the character.
Lighting, and the switch that matters
The node emits a lighting prompt, so results are affected by light even when you only wanted a pose change. There is a keep-light option: click it and the original lighting is preserved.
Background: you can load an image purely to align a pose to it. Lighting can be added, kept or removed individually.
Output modes
With several poses defined (pose 1, pose 2, ...) you can either output an image list or have the node concatenate them into one sheet, with a per-row count you set.
There is undo, redo, reset preview, copy/paste and import/export for the pose state - it is a small editor, not a one-shot node.
How to run it
- Load one image - background or no background both work.
- Pose the mannequin in the node; press
resetif the camera drifts off the character. - Keep the output aspect ratio equal to the source image's ratio; the author scales by pixels.
- Feed the three images into the Qwen-Image-Edit-Plus text encode (pose render, source, skeleton).
- Choose whether to keep the original light, or let the node's lighting prompt apply.
- Run; if you defined several poses, pick list output or a concatenated sheet.

Honest limits
- One character. The graph is built for single-character consistency, not crowds.
- The lighting prompt is on by default; pose-only edits need the keep-light switch.
- Aspect ratio has to follow the source image, so exotic output shapes are not the target.
- The graph was hand-built against a project version RunningHub had not yet mirrored; upstream example graphs may differ.
