Recently, I learned golang from https://quii.gitbook.io/learn-go-with-tests. And now I want to contribute in open source for the preparation of GSoC 2027. But whenever I open a repository of terraform or kubernetes, I get very confused about the issue written there, like I can understand the code part a little but still it becomes very complex for me to understand everything and now it's making me demotivated. I have made many open source contributions before but they were in javascript mainly.
So my question is should I start from a small repository and try to solve the issue there and make at least 5 pr merged or should I use ai to solve the issue and understand everything little by little? Please help me regarding this and if possible suggest some repository to contribute for beginners.
