RepoDNA v1.5.0 Is Here: Local History Controls, Reviewed Exports, and Clearer CI Impact
RepoDNA v1.5.0 is now available as a stable release!
RepoDNA is an open-source, local-first repository intelligence tool that helps developers understand codebases through architecture, dependencies, Git history, quality signals, and evidence-backed findings.
This release focuses on control, reviewability, and correctness.
1. Delete saved analysis history safely
Version 1.5.0 introduces confirmed deletion of individual saved analyses or an entire repository's stored analysis history.
You can clean up locally stored analysis records without deleting your original repository or source code.
2. Preview findings before exporting
RepoDNA now provides a local preview and explicit confirmation before exporting selected findings as CSV, JSON, or Markdown.
This helps developers review what they are about to share.
Note: Previewing does not automatically detect or redact secrets. Always review sensitive information before sharing exports.
3. Understand CI impact more clearly
CI baseline comparisons now include additional context such as before-and-after module ownership, file paths, and dependency information.
These improvements help developers investigate changes and understand their architectural impact.
4. More reliable comparisons
RepoDNA v1.5.0 improves deterministic handling of repeated findings and ambiguous duplicate paths.
The goal is to produce more consistent, reproducible comparisons.
5. Improved release reliability
The release includes stronger dependency and packaging checks.
Windows executable metadata also displays RepoDNA as the company instead of GitHub.
