Disclosure: I build these tools, and I used AI to help write them and this post.

Panda Federation is mostly public-data tools for AI agents, but two of the newest repos are simpler than that: tiny local-first shell scripts you run on your own machine. No account, no API token, no per-result fee.

Tool What it does Install
Steel Panda Drop *.sh files in a Tasks/ folder and it runs them all, with a log `curl -fsSL https://github.com/pandadad0214/Steel_Panda/releases/latest/download/install.sh \
Watchdog Panda If a process disappears, it restarts it and writes what happened to a log {% raw %}`curl -fsSL https://github.com/pandadad0214/Watchdog_Panda/releases/latest/download/install.sh \

Both work on Linux, macOS and Termux. They are MIT licensed.

Run every task

After install, Steel Panda lives in {% raw %}~/steel-panda:

cd ~/steel-panda && bash steel.sh

Add another job by saving any *.sh file in ~/steel-panda/Tasks/ and running bash steel.sh again. Output appends to steel.log. Point it at a different folder with TASK_DIR=/path/to/tasks bash steel.sh.

Latest release: Steel Panda v0.2.0.

Restart a process when it dies

Watchdog Panda installs into ~/watchdog-panda. Tell it what to look for and how to start it again:

cd ~/watchdog-panda TARGET_PROCESS="my-app" START_COMMAND="nohup ./my-app.sh &" bash Watchdog.sh
Setting Default Meaning
TARGET_PROCESS spirit-panda Text to match in the process list (pgrep -f)
START_COMMAND ./start.sh Command that restarts it (end with & so the watchdog keeps running)
CHECK_INTERVAL 5 Seconds between checks
LOG_FILE watchdog.log Where events are written

Stop it with Ctrl+C. Latest release: Watchdog Panda v0.1.0.

Hidden text aimed at AI agents

The other repo in this batch is Hidden AI Instructions Watch, an evidence-only log of public pages that hide text from people but leave it readable by AI agents, plus the free Hidden AI Instructions Scanner. I wrote more about the scanner in the Nov 5 public-data tools post.
