What IIT KGP's AI Leadership Course Actually Changed About How I Lead

Signed up a bit reluctantly, honestly. I'd led technical teams for years and figured a leadership-focused AI course would feel basic compared to what I already knew about the tech itself.
Wasn't basic. It barely touches the technology in the way I expected, it's about evaluating whether an AI investment is even justified, governing the risk once it's live, and leading transformation without just defaulting to "let's add AI" as the answer to everything. I got called out more than once for confusing technical fluency with actual leadership judgment, which stung, but fairly.
Runs through the Partha Ghosh School of Leadership, cohort-based, live sessions where people from very different industries bring wildly different problems to the table, which made it way less theoretical than I expected going in.
Not something to do casually alongside a demanding job, the sessions expect real prep. But if you've ever assumed your technical depth automatically made you a good AI decision-maker, this is the course that quietly proves it doesn't.
