This is a feature release. The AI assistant in the terminal is gone, and Agents take its place: they work on your hosts over SSH, look into problems on their own and wait for your OK before changing anything.
Update from the app when the prompt appears, or grab a fresh build from the download page.
Features
- Pick the engine. Choose termique AI, or Claude Code, Codex or OpenCode already on your computer.
- Right next to your session. Agents sit next to Terminal and Files in each session.
- On every plan. termique AI gives 15 prompts a day on Free and 100 on Pro, and shows how many are left.
- Group rules. Allowed, Ask or Never for each kind of action, plus rules of your own.
- sudo and updates always ask. sudo and system updates always wait for an OK.
- Approve from anywhere. Approve from the Approvals page or your phone.
- Host reports. Generate a report on a host.
Every agent follows the same rules and asks for the same approvals, whichever engine does the work, and everything it runs lands in the audit log.
The assistant answered questions about the terminal in front of you. Agents do the legwork on the host itself: they read the logs, metrics and files, follow the trail, and come back with what they found. When the next step changes something, it stops and waits for you.
Teams
- Your rules travel with the host. People you share a host with follow your rules in the terminal and Files too.
- One line, not a pop-up. A command that needs your OK waits in one line at the bottom of their terminal.
- Trust for a while. Approve and trust someone for a while, or until their session ends.
- A clear record. See what ran, who approved it and what was blocked.
The rules apply to the people you share with, not only to Agents. A teammate typing in the terminal or working in Files on your host meets the same Allowed, Ask and Never decisions an agent does.
Security
- Agents can't get around a blocked command by spelling it differently.
- Claude Code and Codex only get termique's tools on your hosts.
- An approval runs its command once.
Bug fixes
- A command pasted right after the prompt is read correctly.
- Approval cards are no longer see-through.
