Bandlei has released ReinDB, read-only performance monitoring for PostgreSQL, self-managed or on Amazon RDS and Aurora.
ReinDB learns what normal looks like for each database and statement, hour by hour, using pg_stat_statements, and flags what drifts from it, ranked by the extra database time each change costs. Each flag shows the evidence, including plan history, and a fix script your DBA can test, with an undo for each step.
ReinDB installs nothing in your database and needs one read-only login. It runs hosted, onsite on Linux or Windows, or in your own AWS or Google Cloud account. MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle are also supported. The first database is free for one person, with no time limit and no card. A free 109-page guide, Rein In Your Database, covers the tuning method behind it.
