I'm the author of Wabi Wiki, an unofficial guide to the Wabi AI assistant — not affiliated with Wabi.
If you only open Wabi when you have a question, you may miss how it is meant to be used day to day. Its features are less about one clever answer and more about keeping conversations, small tools and everyday tasks in places you can return to. Here is a plain-language tour of what it can do, and where to be careful.
Threads that stay organised
Start with threads. Wabi organises conversation by topic, project or group, with one thread for each. That thread keeps its own history and tools, so a travel plan does not get tangled with a work project or a family chat. When you return later, the context is still there, and you do not need to explain everything again.
Shared chats, not just private chats
Some threads are multiplayer. These are shared group chats where everyone can talk to Wabi and use its mini-apps together. That makes Wabi less like a private notebook and more like a shared helper in the middle of a group: friends can plan together, compare ideas, and keep the results in the same place.
Mini-apps made inside the chat
The most distinctive idea is the mini-app. Inside a chat, Wabi can generate a small tool for the job at hand: a tracker, poll, itinerary, list, quiz or countdown, for example. With Wabi 2.0, the agent can also decide on its own which apps to create. The pitch is "personal software": tools that are disposable, personal and remixable, built for one purpose rather than installed forever.
Widgets on your home screen
On your phone, Wabi can also live on the home screen. Widgets are available on iOS and Android, so you can reach a thread or a mini-app without opening the full app and hunting through chats.
Connections with a clear scope
Wabi can connect to email and calendar, and optionally to payment or bank accounts, but the important detail is scope. Connections are scoped per chat, not turned on for everything at once. That limit matters, especially for financial access, so check the safety page before connecting sensitive accounts.
Errands that save time, with checks
Errands are where Wabi tries to save real time. It can book appointments, handle returns, find refunds and cancel subscriptions. It also watches for changed bills or missing refunds, and it checks before important actions, rather than quietly completing something you might want to review first.
Health summaries on Android
On Android, Wabi can read Health Connect data and summarise steps, calories, distance, workouts, sleep, heart rate and weight. The point is fitness and wellness awareness, not medical diagnosis: it can help you notice patterns, but it should not be treated as a health professional.
Platforms, pricing and infrastructure
Wabi runs on iOS, Android and Mac, and it is currently free. It is cloud-based and may use models from Google, Anthropic and OpenAI depending on the task. It is SOC 2 compliant, and most data is stored in the United States. For the longer version, with more detail on each feature, see the full features guide on Wabi Wiki.
